One article of the reading from this week was about Digital Citizenship.

This article discussed nine elements of digital citizenship. This can be defined as the norms of appropriate, responsible behavior with regard to technology use. The nine elements were digital access, digital commerce, digital communication digital literacy, digital etiquette, digital law, digital rights and responsibilities, digital health and wellness, and digital security.
Along with these were three basic ideas of digital citizenship these were:
1. Respect yourself and others
2. Educate yourself and connect with others
3. Protect yourself and others
According to the article these ideas and elements should be taught starting at the kindergarten level, and be built upon every year. This allows students to embrace the digital age with full force, and full knowledge of how to use it safely, and properly.
